Songs From the Temple

Dan and I were in California back in 2019 and heard from the Lord so beautifully. We had many opportunities to pray for people and grew in our understanding of the authority that we wield as coheirs with Christ. We also received and gave words of knowledge to people we come in contact with, it was a really fun adventure!

While we were spending some time in prayer in The Alabaster House at Bethel, we received deeper revelation specifically about the title of our first House of Psalms EP. Some of the songs on this EP have been used to lead our church in corporate worship. Naturally, we thought “Songs From the Temple” was referring to this context but now know it means so much more.

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a very high throne. His long robe filled the Temple. Heavenly creatures of fire stood above him. Each creature had six wings: It used two wings to cover its face, two wings to cover its feet, and two wings for flying. Each creature was calling to the others:

‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty. His glory fills the whole earth.’

Their calling caused the frame around the door to shake, as the Temple filled with smoke.”

Isaiah 6:1-4

I was reflecting on the part of this scripture where His robe fills the Temple and saw a picture of Jesus. He was coming towards me and the more I allowed Him to take over every area of my life the more His robe filled the temple of my heart.

As Dan and I reflected on this again during our prayer time at Bethel, God overlaid this vision on our EP, Coming Home: Songs From the Temple. You see, He was saying these songs are meant to ring out from the temple of our hearts, not merely a physical temple (building). Through the Holy Spirit we've written songs of adoration and praise that come into agreement with who God says He is while declaring prophetic promises that are yet to come! We pray these songs will help bring people closer to Jesus as they allow Him to come closer to them. Jesus wants to fill the temple of our hearts. He wants to be so close, so involved with every facet of our lives that His robe fills the entire temple.
